American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC)

Active today in more than 70 countries, JDC and its partners work to rescue Jewish lives at risk, bring relief to Jews in need, renew lost bonds to Jewish identity and Jewish culture, and help Israel overcome the social challenges of its most vulnerable citizens, both Jewish and non-Jewish.

Ashkenaz Festival of New Yiddish Culture

The Ashkenaz Festival is the largest Jewish cultural event in Canada, and among the largest events of its kind internationally. The Festival takes place biennially at Toronto’s Harbourfront Centre and satellite locations throughout Toronto.

Bernard Betel Centre for Creative Living

The Bernard Betel Centre for Creative Living is a nonprofit seniors' centre in Toronto open to adults 55+ of any religious and cultural background. Its focus is to serve active, independent-living adults - participants in programs come and go on their own.

Hillel of Greater Toronto

Holocaust Education Centre of Toronto

The Holocaust Education Centre of Toronto is committed to preserving the memories of the victims, honouring the legacies of those who survived and educating the community so that the Holocaust will serve as a warning to future generations about the dangers of antisemism, racism, intolerance and apathy.

Jewish Alcoholics, Chemically Dependant Persons and Significant Others (JACS)

JACS Toronto is dedicated to encouraging and assisting alcoholics, chemically dependent persons and their families, friends and associates to explore recovery in a nurturing Jewish environment. JACS Toronto exists to provide support for Jews in recovery and be an information resource on the effects that alcoholism and drug dependency have on Jewish family life.

Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI)

Jewish Agency for Israel works to inspire Jews throughout the world to connect with their people, heritage and land, and empower them to build a thriving Jewish future and a strong Israel.

Jewish Community Centres

Community centres across Toronto, like Miles Nadal JCC, Prosserman JCC and the Scchwartz/Reisman Centre, benefit community members like you with innovative programming and excellent facilities.

Jewish Education

The UJA helps children attend nearly 50 different jewish schools across Toronto every year.

Jewish Family & Child Services (JF&CS)

Jewish Family & Child supports the healthy development of individuals, children, families and communities through prevention, protection, counselling, education and advocacy services, within the context of Jewish values.

Jewish Russian Community Centre of Ontario

The mission of the JRCC is to achieve Jewish identity, continuity and integration among the Jews from the Former Soviet Union and their families by providing educational, spiritual, religious and cultural community services.

Jewish Immigrant Aid Service (JIAS) Toronto

JIAS Toronto has established itself as a not for profit corporation dedicated to helping Jewish immigrants with resettlement in the Greater Toronto Area.The organization assists lawfully admitted immigrants and refugees in meeting basic financial, social, legal and other requirements of immigration.

JVS Toronto

JVS Toronto helps people from all backgrounds with diverse needs to identify their strengths and goals, develop skills, and achieve success in school, work and life, through an expansive range of over 40 employment-related support programs and services throughout the GTA.

Kehilla Residential Programme

Kehilla Residential Programme finds affordable housing in the Greater Toronto area and implements housing initiatives for the Jewish community. The Agency’s mandate is fulfilled through community capacity building, research and education, project sponsorship, and development consultation.

Reena

Reena is a non-profit social service agency dedicated to integrating adults with developmental disabilities into the mainstream of society. Reena strives to create and maintain an environment that respects and promotes dignity, individuality, independence and freedom of choice within a framework of Jewish culture and values.

Toronto Jewish Free Loan Cassa

Based on the Jewish value of G'milath Chasodim, "acts of loving kindness," this organization helps a broad range of needy members in the Toronto community to meet their educational and personal needs and to create their own business opportunities.

UJA Disaster Relief Funds

When disaster strikes, the UJA is quick to respond. Past disasters include the Carmel fires, the earthquake in Haiti, Hurricane Katrina, etc.

United Jewish Appeal

UJA Federation stands to preserve and strengthen the quality of Jewish life in Greater Toronto, Canada, Israel and around the world through philanthropic, volunteer and professional leadership. It is the organizational hub of Toronto's Jewish community, open to all religious streams, varying viewpoints, a wide variety of backgrounds and a wealth of ideas.

Zareinu Educational Centre of Metropolitan Toronto

Zareinu Educational Centre of Metropolitan Toronto provides individualized therapies and treatments with an adapted education rich in Jewish teachings and traditions to improve the quality of life for children with disabilities and their families.



Community Organizations

Aid to Disabled Veterans of Isreal

Aid to Disabled Veterans of Israel, Beit Halochem Canada is an organization devoted to helping the more than 51,000 Israeli disabled veterans and victims of terrorism. After the injured leave the hospital they come to a Beit Halochem location, where they can receive specialized therapy and rehabilitation for the rest of their lives.

Koby Mandell Foundation – Camp Koby

The Koby Mandell Foundation provides initiatives that work to bridge the isolation that children and adults are struck with after the loss of a loved one. All programs provide emotional, physical, and spiritual healing that create a network of support for families in grief.

Mazon Canada

MAZON Canada is the national Jewish Response to Hunger. MAZON Canada raises funds primarily from within the Jewish community and distributes those funds, on a non-denominational basis, to Canadian organizations battling hunger on the front lines.

Meir Panim – Relief Centers in Israel

Meir Panim was established to offer a realistic solution to the growing poverty crisis in Israel that affects over one and a half million people across the country. Meir Panim is committed to provide both immediate and long-term relief to the impoverished of Israel - young and old alike - via its dynamic range of food and social service programs in distressed cities throughout Israel, all aimed at helping the needy with dignity and respect.

Mercaz Harmony – The International Centre for Inclusion

Mercaz Harmony is a non-profit educational organization through which children with disabilities and their typical peers grow and learn together. The goal of Mercaz Harmony is the inclusion of children with disabilities into the mainstream of life in a variety of settings – from the child’s home to his or her educational institution to the entire community.

One Family Fund

One Family collects not only money, but all human resources for people who have suffered through terror attacks, connecting people in Israel with people in almost every country around the world. They volunteer time and money in order to help families of terror victims in every way. OneFamily works directly with the families, every day of the year.

Orr Shalom Children’s Homes

The American Friends of Orr Shalom supports Orr Shalom's Children's Homes in Israel. Orr Shalom's Children's Homes is a not-for-profit organization providing residential and therapeutic care to severely abused and neglected children, in a warm, loving family atmosphere.

Selah – Israel Crisis Management Centre

When trauma and grief strike, SELAH reaches out to Israel’s vulnerable population of immigrants. They provide compassionate support as well as financial and practical aid, to help immigrants cope with unexpected tragedy, both in an emergency and in the longer term.

Shaare Zedek Medical Centre

The Shaare Zedek Medical Center is the Jerusalem's only major, centrally located hospital, committed to the provision of top-level medical care for the city's diverse population through a highly compassionate and personalized approach.

Ve’ahavta

Ve'ahavta is a Canadian humanitarian and relief organization, motivated by the Jewish value of Tzedakah (Justice), that assists the needy at home and abroad, through volunteerism, education, and acts of kindness, while building bridges between Jews and other peoples.

Yad Sarah

Yad Sarah, the largest voluntary organization in Israel, provides a spectrum of free or nominal cost services designed to make life easier for sick, disabled and elderly people and their families.
